This Sonic Chi Chime series was created by SVARAM, a wonderful organization in southern India focused on sound healing instruments and research.  Each Sonic Chi Chime we sell Alpha (medium) and Theta (large) have 10 tubular notes suspended on small ropes in a ladder like configuration.  This lends the chimes the ability to swing the chime in the hand from the rope loops at the bottom or top of the instrument or rotate on a stand (Theta Model) to create a mesmerizing doppler effect with the sound!  Learn more about each sound of the Alpha and Theta Sonic Chi Chimes below. 

Alpha Sonic Chi Chimes - Medium (1" diam. tubes) 

The Alpha model is larger and expresses a lower range of harmonics than the Flow Chimes we carry and has a stronger and longer sustained sound than the Alpha due to its denser material and larger tube size. It can still be handheld but is a little heavier and larger, so it is also great for mounting on a stand.  This chime has 10 notes and comes with a carry bag and playing mallet.

Theta Sonic Chi Chimes - Large (1.5" diam. tubes) 

This large Sonic Chi series and needs to be suspended from a stand or the ceiling for the full sound.  It has massive sonic presence resonating the room and creating an encompassing atmosphere and sonic energetic power to be reckoned with.  This chime only comes with a playing mallet.

The Sonic Chi tuning for BOTH Alpha and Theta models is C Major, with the full C octave plus one higher C note.

About the Sonic Chi Chimes Series

Musical tones and vibrations and the silence in between have the ability to touch every layer of the being: physiological-emotional-psychological-intellectual-psychic-spiritual. The harmonic structure and matrix based on specific and simple proportions is present everywhere in the natural world from the tiniest particle movements of the microcosmos to the vast formations of the galaxies, and generates the formation and cycles of life expressions through its specific ratios. These ratios can also be understood as the relatedness of each to all and in musical language are represented through the intervals.

Quick Note: For anyone who is curious why we do not sell the Beta Chime (small) with Beautiful Sounds features in the second video along with the Alpha Chime (medium), it's because the Beta is the equivalent in sound and size as the Earth Flow Chime we also sell.  if you like the Beta in the video the most, you can purchase the Beta on the Flow Chimes on our website...but just make sure to purchase the Earth tuning to match!  On to the videos...
